Pinto Pride Foundation

Cibola National Forest Revison Plan

The Cibola National Forest and the mountain district landscape groups will be holding open houses to develop a revision for the 1985 Cibola Forest Plan. These public meetings will assist the Forest Service in developing a draft plan for future use and management of the Cibola National Forest. There will be an open house on July 28th,at the Village of Corona Council Chambers in Corona at six p.m. For more information call 346-3894.

Torrance County Fair

Torrance County Fair is less than a month away. Folks have been working very hard to bring you the best fair ever, August 8th to the 15th. Everything from the youth showing the animals they raised, to rodeo events, plus lots of arts, crafts and handiwork. Don’t forget the Red Barn Exhibits. Lots of fun and excitement for everyone. It’s all happening at the Torrance County Fair Grounds in Estancia. X 88.7 FM is announcing the events for the day on that day. So listen up and go enjoy the fair.

Estancia Community Library

The Estancia Community Library will have two parties to celebrate the finale of the summer reading program. The part for the Bookworm Buddies, which is for preschool kids, will be July 29 at 10:30 a.m. The Library Lizard for elementary-age kids will party on July 28 at 3:30 p.m. The Estancia Fire Department will also be here to demonstrate their hero skills! RGMDA Old Timers All Breed Horse Show

The Rio Grande Mule and Donkey Association will be hosting its fifth annual RGMDA Old Timers All Breed Horse Show at the Edgewood Equestrian Arena on Aug. 1 and 2. Artists Reception

An Artists' Reception will be held at the Watermelon Gallery in Cedar Crest on Aug. 1 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. to open an exhibit for artists Judy Breedlove and Ray Ortiz. This exhibition will include watercolor paintings from the artists. Watermelon Gallery is located at 12220 North Highway 14 in Cedar Crest. Torrance County Republican Party

The Torrance County Republican Party will hold its Lincoln Day Dinner on Aug. 7 at the Estancia Community Center starting at 5:30 p.m.
